Legal justification

Goods that require an import permit are specifically the ones which are potential sources of plants and animal pests and diseases which include: live animals and animal products; live plants and plant products; soil and sand aggregates; secondhand clothing and used items; timber, plywood, masonite and other wood products.

Additional information

The import permit (stamped and approved) can only be collected from the MELAD - ALD main office in Tanaea.

Permit validity:
  • For personal consignments is 3 months.
  • For commercial consignments 6 months.
